The last 5 minutes of Crysis 2 demo.
I've never played Crysis, or even seen the game really except for some random screenshots or short clips. So now that I heard that demo for Crysis 2 was available, I decided to give it a try. It started with a video explaining some of the gameplay elements. Immediately I noticed that the game didn't launch in correct display resolution, but I thought of waiting for the video to end before adjusting settings. First I wondered if the demo was even playable or just a sneak peek video. Well, then it said "in this multiplayer demo"... multiplayer demo? You mean, there's no singleplayer? You showcase a game with nothing original except for the nanosuit and any info of it is given by just a side comment during the video. You'd expect me to just jump into a multiplayer game with random people without knowing anything about the game and with no training in single player mode or even a proper tutorial? You gotta be kidding me... Well, once the video was over I was presented with a GameSpy login screen. I tried to find the options button to even be able to fix the screen resolution but all that was available was the login screen or quit the game. So I tried logging in with my old account in hopes that would bring me forward into the hell of multiplayer with strangers. Well, I got presented with nice "nickname has invalid characters" error message. For real? What's so illegal in GODJONEZ? Oh well, time to quit the game. Steam now showed that I played the game for 5 minutes and I uninstalled it. Yes, I uninstalled the demo after five minutes of video. Really good impression you made. Guess who won't be buying the game?

ProFreak. The thingy about this demo is that i don't wanna play the multiplayer, i wan't to see more of the original Crysis action in a great filled storyline with a polished skin.

Shanto Really? You thought Crysis had a good story line? I mean the execution of the story was good but the core story itself has been done to death, Frankly I think the multiplayer is actually pretty good it reminds me of my old CoD 4 days before the CoD series went to hell in both story and multiplayer. But that's just my thoughts anyway.

"Press Start to Begin" has been changed to "Press Enter to Begin" on the main menu, account creation now works properly, and G35 headset fix is now implemented."

There might have been potential in this game but the game idea was made too simple and even that last part was ruined with leveling up and perks. Good thing I didn't waste money on this.

Difficulty curve is not balanced and how come there are endless number of enemies? I could've built a tower from the bodies at Garbage. And when you get the hang of it all, the story just hits a wall.

A game that tries to break free of the copy-chains by being different, and succeeding in that. Some more missions, even free-run ones, would have helped in prolonging the playtime.

As the game's name implies, this is a tale of a doctor who travels in time. Or, to be more precise, will end up travelling in time. I can't tell you how it happens, since I would be spoiling a little bit of the story and there isn't very much to the storyline in this game, so I would be almost spoiling it all.

The best part is creating your own machines by combining different objects and seeing how randomly they behave. That randomness going against intuition is also the biggest problem in gameplay.

godjonez I just noticed that somehow my opening sentence was duplicated at the latter half of the text. It surely wasn't there when I wrote the review in Google Chrome (the editor doesn't work properly in Opera), so I'm not sure what happened with it.
