Solid solo campaign and excellent multiplayer mode. It has a Quake 3-like feel to it in terms of gameplay but has it's own universe and some really cool weapons. Shame the esports scene didn't keep it

Back when it came out this FPS revolutionized the computer gaming industry not just because of the engine, but because of how versatile it was to help create mods for others - game is fun w/ good plot

Pretty solid game where you take over a deserted island and build a city from scratch while having to manage resources and trade with other civilisations. You can also build an army to attack/defend

FPS game which features a similar engine to that of Quake. It also has similar weapons and maps but unlike ID Software's game, this one is completely free. Uses very few resources and is a ton of fun

Revolutionary at the time it came out, it featured an interesting concept where you could pick between being good or evil and could interact with a creature and populations without direct contact...

Solid sequel to the original RTS game from Microsoft. Good solo campaign and decent multiplayer mode as well, although not very suited for competitive play (maps too big, too linear of a game, etc...)
