People are bound to find flaws in this game, but here's the deal: it's a slick driving MMOTPS that is a blast to play with some friends. Some minor technical and balance issues can be overlooked.

CarolusIV As an addendum, pay attention to those recommended requirements. The game doesn't work very well on 32 bit systems at this time.

Remnant I'll clarify. On 32 bit systems the game has a built in mechanic when it detects that your running one to not fully show the decals on your car, tatoos, and any other design's on your person. So if your running lets say a 5000 series ATI card with Quad Core and 4GB memory the gameplay (shooting, running, driving) will most likely run great. But when you're staring at that really cool design you made in the editor it will look all blurry.

This game had a lot of potential, both in its content and gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately, the sloppy execution could never measure up to how awesome it is to take orders from an NYC Firefighter.

A fantastic tribute to a cult classic movie. Simple gameplay: just move the mouse and click. The difficulty rises steadily and and the pixel art is endearing.

Impressive visuals and immersive atmosphere are hampered by dated tech, instability, and repetitive gameplay. The buddy system was a lot of fun, and I would like to see the concept explored further.

R4VI4TOR Yeah but why the hell cant your buddy enter your vehicle as gunner ? I mean it works for the opposing enemy AI as they annoyingly pursue you trough the whole F'cking map ! Also, after hours of "ranking up" and unlocking all stuff in the game, if you followed the story, the game just ends ! And you cant play further after it did !

CarolusIV Yeah, that's pretty frustrating. Lots of shortcomings to be had here.

overl33t And it has nothing to do with Far Cry. I don't see why they named it Far Cry 2 when it isn't FC at all.

CarolusIV I can actually answer that for you. When interviewed, one of the developers basically said that he saw mercenaries in exotic locations to be the mainstay of the franchise. :/

FarCry was impressive for a number of reasons. Unprecedented level sizes, lighting, and physics came together to form a brilliant tech demo. Gameplay and story delivery, however, were lacking.

Simplistic but beautiful art backs some infuriatingly wonderful (read: addictive) gameplay. This game is hard to stop playing once you get on a roll, and the difficulty scales up slowly but surely.

More of that same old goodness. This time, you're leading of the Grey Wardens in Ferelden and you get to exercise that power to a great degree. Recruiting wardens and building a fortress is great fun.

Not too serious and just open enough, this game scratches a very particular itch. Jump in with friends, kill everything that moves, and manage an arsenal of unique and often ridiculous weapons.

Lackluster story telling and poor facial animations can be easily overlooked in favor of running amok with a horrifying sledgehammer, driving through prefabs, and blowing up everything in sight.
