Hmm, where to start with this one...

I picked up Beat Hazard somewhere around Christmas last year because it offered gameplay based on your own music, I'm a sucker for that type of thing. Anyway, what I got was a pretty damn awesome game that not only used my music but it used it well; something not all similar games can do.

When my music got louder, my weapon's spread and speed increased. When it was soft I was more or less shooting with a peashooter. You have to make sure you know when you'll vunerable in this game. Well, I guess I'll throw down some random scores.

Gameplay: 9/10

The gameplay is good and solid, I would describe it as a mix between Asteroids, Geometry Wars and Audiosurf. I managed to squeeze a good 10 or so hours out of it within a few days and I still play the odd game when I get some new songs.

Soundtrack: 10/10

You use your own music, it's impossible to dislike it. Even the main menu chooses a random song from your library to play. You can't fault it unless for some reason you play songs you hate.

Visuals: 8/10

Would have been 9 but this game is impossible to play if you are epileptic. There are a LOT of particle effects flashing through the entire game that would pretty much certainly get an epileptic person in a fit. Otherwise, the graphics are really nice for a top down space shooter, definitely a step up from Asteroids, that's for sure. 1 mark taken off for the inability to turn off the strobing effects.

Seizures: 20/10

If you want a seizure for some reason, buy this game. I'll try not to judge you :V

An awesome rhythm game that throws in free seizures to all epileptic gamers that play it. The visuals of this game blow me away, I'm surprised I didn't go blind after 4 hours of straight playing.
